The founder of The Giving House is an esteemed community outreach specialist vetted in DC, MD, and Virginia who got his start in mentoring and community support work within the field at its very base level. It seems to be the glue that has kept him grounded and tied to the struggles within these communities that so many often stray so far away from.
The Giving House was affectionately named after a book by Shel Silverstein called the Giving Tree; this mother tree gave all of herself with one unyielding purpose of creating true happiness for a young friend. At The Giving House, the mission is to give until there's seemingly nothing left and then push a bit further to give just a little bit more. While these aims can appear so unrealistic in moments of crisis and chaos, years of service and experience within The Giving House staff have seen these core values help unhappy souls find their way to happiness.
