Worthy institutions, foundations, and not for profits receive a steady stream of donation dollars from Giving House so that they can spend more time doing the work they do best—strengthening their communities and enriching the lives of others.
In a Giving House partnership, a not for profit’s supporters and donors can choose among the top Giving House agents in their communities to buy, rent, sell, or donate any type of property—primary home, vacation home, investment property, even vacant land. Giving House can create a donation for your not for profit through any type of real estate transaction. In addition, Giving House agents donate their own listings to the Giving House Portfolio to create donation opportunities.
Upon completion of that real estate transaction, the Giving House agent has agreed to donate 15% of their commission directly back to your not for profit to use as you see fit. An additional 5% goes back to the Giving Back Fund who administers Giving House to help continue to grow the program.
A SAMPLE TRANSACTION AND DONATION
- Sale price of home: $800,000
- Commission (at 3%) for listing agent: $24,000
- 15% donation to your not for profit: $3600
- If the agent represents both buyer and seller, the donation to the not for profit is doubled to $7200
