How does my organization qualify for your program?
To qualify as a participating Giving House partner not for profit, your organization should demonstrate current 501(c) (3) status and be in good standing with the IRS.
We know a few brokers who we already work with. Can they participate in this program?
Absolutely. We encourage any brokers who are interested to ask how to become part of GIVING HOUSE. Our mission is to encourage all those who are willing in the real estate community to make a true commitment to philanthropy as an active part of their individual business model.
How can we assure our supporters that they are receiving “expert” real estate services through the GIVING HOUSE program?
The agent helping you buy or sell is a crucial ally in the process. Giving House agents are hand-selected by Giving House and their firm’s management team. These agents are not only the top producers in the region but also demonstrate the highest degree of social responsibility to their community and selflessness in their dealings with their clients. You’ll be able to review resumes, bios, and testimonials as well as arrange personal interviews with our GIVING HOUSE agents before you choose who you’ll work with.
What can our organization do to foster a successful donation program?
The success of this type of donation program depends largely on helping us create an awareness of the GIVING HOUSE fund raising opportunities with the friends and families of your organization.

* Outreach to your networks via email, newsletter, or direct mail campaign
* Brochures and/or signage in appropriate placesAs part of our partnership with your organization, GIVING HOUSE will also work with you to brainstorm out of the box fund raising opportunities.
Is there any limit to the amount of donations our not for profit can receive through GIVING HOUSE?
No, the donation amount is unlimited.

Sure. You can go to the Find An Agent tab at the top of the page which will take you to the Interactive Map. Find the community where you’re buying or selling, and you’ll find a choice of great Giving House agents. I’d like to sell my house, and I already have an agent that I’ve been working with for years. I don’t think she’s a GIVING HOUSE agent yet. Can my agent and I still work with this program?
Absolutely. Please ask your agent to e-mail or call us, and we’ll be happy to detail the program for her and how the two of you can be involved in your sale.
My husband and I will be looking for our first home soon. Can GIVING HOUSE help us?
GIVING HOUSE agents are the very same agents you would choose to work with in your search. The only difference is that these agents choose to give back to their communities when they receive their commission.
Can I donate my home through GIVING HOUSE?
Yes, any type of real estate transaction can be done through the GIVING HOUSE program.
I own investment property and would like to do a 1031. Can GIVING HOUSE assist me in this type of transaction?
Once again, any type of real estate transaction can be done through the GIVING HOUSE program. |
